Elderberry Herbal Syrup (Oxymel)
Made with Raw Honey and Apple Cider Vinegar, the Elderberry is our flagship in our line of oxymel herbal syrups. Infused with generous portions of Organic Elderberries, along with orange peel, Ceylon cinnamon and cloves, this wellness syrup is as tasty as it is loaded with wellness benefits.
Elderberries have long been prized for their support of immune function and are highly revered among the herbalist community.
As with all our wellness syrups, Our Elderberry is made using only raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar and local honey as a base. We do not use alcohol, cane sugar, artificial sweeteners or any other additives.
The recommended serving size is one tablespoon as needed.

I love the elderberry herbal syrup. Every evening when I am cooking dinner I add a shot to a tall glass of seltzer as part of my end of the day ritual. Its the perfect substitute for a glass of wine. It feels like a nice refreshing and soothing treat. I have also added it to cocktails and mocktails for a sweet and tangy kick.
Very happy with the product, but not the packaging
I have been a loyal customer of Hany's Harvest products for many years, and I use the Elderberry Syrup every day. But I was dismayed to receive my most recent order from Hany's Harvest in a box filled with Styrofoam and plastic wrap. I know there are more environmentally friendly packaging options available. I hope that Hany's will consider switching to these.

Hi Juli Thanks for the note. Please note that we do not use styrofoam. The peanuts are made of biodegradable corn starch. They dissolve in water and are completely non-toxic. As for the plastic, we hear you loud and clear and we are currently working on different options that are both environmentally friendly and sufficiently protective of the bottles. Nope! they are 100% alcohol free! Having said that, a lot of folks LOVE to use our ciders in their cocktails, as they add a spicy kick to their favorite liquors.

Yes! This is a live product that hasn't been subjected to the effects of heat or cooking and thereby contains the living mother that manifests as the solids you may see in your tonic. It's totally harmless and in fact is considered to be a desirable part of apple cider vinegar!

The mother nourishes the bacteria that ultimately turns apple cider into its corresponding vinegar. Pasteurized vinegar does NOT contain this live mother.

Although we have not at this point gotten a USDA organic certification, over 90% of the ingredients that go into our products are in fact certified organic, including the apple cider vinegar, turmeric, ginger, onion, garlic, dandelion, burdock, cinnamon, black pepper, lemons and maple syrup. Better yet, over 90% of what goes into our products comes from within a short distance of our production facility.

We don't skimp on our ingredients. In fact, each gallon of fire cider that we make contains well over three pounds of root vegetables in it. And our Earth Ciders have well over two pounds of root vegetables per gallon. That's A LOT of roots. We don't add water to our product either, giving you full strength apple cider vinegar. The results are products that are bold, rich and intensely flavorful.

A good amount to take is a tablespoon a day. That's the same as a half ounce or a shot glass filled half way up.

Our ciders are made in small batches using fresh whole ingredients that are available at the time of creation.
