Ingredient Spotlight: Stinging Nettle
Don’t let its sting fool you—nettle is a beloved botanical in the world of herbalism, long prized for its rich nutrient profile and traditional use in wellness routines. Known to be a natural source of vitamins A, C, K, and several B vitamins, as well as minerals like iron and calcium, nettle has been used historically to support respiratory health, ease seasonal discomfort, and maintain urinary tract function.¹
On our farmstead, we grow and forage nettle with care, using it in teas, infusions, and vinegars. We love its deep green flavor and its time-honored place in herbal craft. While you won’t find nettle in our current products just yet, you might spot it in something new down the line.
Fun ways to use nettle at home:
– Steep dried nettle in hot water for a mineral-rich tea
– Add fresh nettle (lightly steamed) to soups, pestos, or smoothies
– Steep in apple cider vinegar for a simple, nourishing tonic base
While it hasn't found its way into our final products yet, we've been using nettle in developing new recipes that we can't wait to share. Stay tuned!
